The pupils and teachers abducted in Orire Local Government Area of Oyo State have regained their freedom after spending more than 50 days in captivity.
The development was announced on Friday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a post on X.
“Finally, the kidnapped pupils and teachers in Orire, Oyo, have been freed by their abductors,” Onanuga wrote.
Further details surrounding their release, including the circumstances and their condition, are yet to be disclosed.
