The Super Falcons of Nigeria have reached full strength ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations after Washington Spirit duo Gift Monday and Deborah Abiodun linked up with the team in Casablanca, Morocco.
The arrival of the two players brings the number of available players in camp to 25, completing the squad assembled for Nigeria’s campaign as the ten-time African champions prepare to defend their continental crown.
Monday and Abiodun arrived in camp following the conclusion of their club commitments with NWSL outfit Washington Spirit, giving head coach Justin Madugu a full complement of players to work with as the tournament approaches.
With the squad now complete, preparations have entered a crucial phase, with the technical crew stepping up tactical drills, match preparations and team-building exercises ahead of Nigeria’s opening game.
The presence of the Washington Spirit pair adds further depth and quality to an already talented squad. Their experience at club level is expected to provide another boost to the Falcons as they fine-tune their plans for the tournament.
