FC Robo Queens have once again underlined their dominance in women’s football in Lagos, emerging champions of the Lagos Queens Cup following a thrilling finale that showcased resilience, and top-level competition.

The day began with the third-place playoff between CAT Ladies and FA Victory Queens. In a closely contested encounter, FA Victory Queens edged their opponents with a narrow 1–0 victory, securing a well-deserved third-place finish after a composed performance.

Attention then shifted to the highly anticipated final between FC Robo Queens and Ayisat Yusuf FA. Both sides delivered a tense and tactical battle, displaying defensive solidity and limiting clear-cut chances throughout the regulation 90 minutes. Despite their attacking efforts, neither team was able to break the deadlock, and the match ended goalless at full time.

With the title on the line, the contest was decided via a penalty shootout. Ayisat Yusuf FA stumbled early, missing their first two spot kicks, while FC Robo Queens maintained composure under pressure. Demonstrating clinical precision, Robo Queens converted four of their penalties, while Ayisat Yusuf FA managed two, handing FC Robo Queens a decisive 4–2 shootout victory.

Fresh off their Lagos FA Cup triumph, FC Robo Queens have now added the Lagos Queens Cup title to their growing list of achievements, reaffirming their status as a powerhouse in Lagos women’s football. Ayisat Yusuf FA finished as worthy runners-up, while FA Victory Queens claimed third place to complete the podium standings.
