The Oyo State Government has demolished a three-bedroom bungalow in Lako Community along Aiyegun-Anaye Road, Ibadan, which was allegedly used as a hideout by kidnappers involved in a recent high-profile abduction case connected to the family of former Minister of Power, Bayo Adelabu.
The demolition was carried out on Monday by officials of the Oyo State Ministry of Public Works and Transportation, alongside operatives of the Nigeria Police Force. Security operatives reportedly secured the area during the exercise as part of ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal networks in the state.
The abducted victims, Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, were kidnapped at Elewura in the Challenge area of Ibadan on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, before being released following security operations.
The state government said the demolition underscores its commitment to tackling insecurity, warning that properties used to aid criminal activities will continue to face decisive action as part of broader efforts to restore safety across Oyo State.
