The University of Ilesa is set to witness another historic milestone as the Executive Governor of Osun State, His Excellency Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, will tomorrow, Tuesday, 14th July, 2026, commission six major infrastructural projects executed to enhance teaching, learning, research and students’ welfare. The epoch-making event underscores the unwavering commitment of the Osun State Government to the sustained growth and transformation of the University.

The projects billed for commissioning include the remodeled Faculty of Law Annex Building, the remodeled Faculty of Public Health Building, the reconstructed Internal Road Network, the newly constructed Hostel Building, and the remodeled Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences Building. These projects represent another significant leap in the University’s infrastructural development drive and its quest to provide a world-class learning environment.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Taiwo Olufemi Asaolu, Ph.D., FCA, described the commissioning as another testament to the remarkable support the University has continued to enjoy from the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke. According to him, the projects will further strengthen the University’s academic capacity, improve students’ experience and reinforce the institution’s position as one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing public universities.

Professor Asaolu expressed profound appreciation to Governor Adeleke for his unwavering commitment to educational advancement in Osun State, noting that the University’s rapid transformation is a reflection of the Governor’s passion for quality education and human capital development. He assured the Governor that the University community would continue to justify the confidence reposed in the institution through excellence in teaching, research, innovation and community service.
