Head Coach of Nasarawa Amazons, Christopher Danjuma, has expressed confidence in his team’s ability to emerge champions at the ongoing Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership Super Six in Port Harcourt.

Danjuma believes the mentality, discipline and determination of his players will play a major role in their quest for success against the top teams competing in the tournament.

Speaking ahead of the competition, the experienced tactician said his side is fully prepared mentally and physically for the challenge ahead.
“We have prepared very well for this competition and I believe the players are ready for the task ahead,” Danjuma said.

“At this stage, every team is strong, but the mentality of the players will be very important. The team that stays focused, disciplined and determined has a big chance of becoming champions.”
The Nasarawa Amazons coach also praised the commitment and fighting spirit shown by his players throughout the season, insisting the team remains fully focused on achieving its target.

“We have a good team with quality players who understand what is at stake. The focus now is to take it one game at a time and give our best in every match,” he added.
Nasarawa Amazons, who have previously enjoyed success in the league, champions in 2013 and 2017, will begin their NWFL Premiership Super Six campaign against Edo Queens today at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.
