The Chairman of the Anambra State Football Association (FA), Chief Chikelue Iloenyosi, has praised Governor Chukwuma Soludo for what he described as bold and transformative reforms in the state’s sports sector. Iloenyosi said the governor’s commitment to revitalizing sports has restored confidence among stakeholders and positioned Anambra for greater achievements.

In a letter of appreciation addressed to Governor Soludo, the former Nigeria international commended the administration’s efforts in restructuring sports governance and creating a more effective system for the development of athletes and sporting activities across the state.Speaking on behalf of the Anambra State Football Association, Local Football Council Chairmen, and the wider sports community, Iloenyosi expressed gratitude to the governor for his unwavering dedication to the growth of football and sports in general. He noted that the recent reforms have brought renewed hope to a sector that had previously faced administrative difficulties.

The FA chairman particularly applauded the decision to merge the Anambra State Sports Development Commission (ASSDC) with the Ministry of Youth Development. According to him, the move has improved coordination, enhanced efficiency, and provided a clearer direction for sports administration in the state.
Iloenyosi also commended the appointment of Hon. Patrick Aghamba as Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, describing it as a strategic decision that has contributed significantly to restoring stability and effective leadership within the sports sector.

He further assured Governor Soludo of the continued support of the football and sports community, expressing confidence that the administration’s reforms would lead to sustained growth, improved talent development, and greater success for Anambra State on the national sporting stage.
