The encounter at Los Angeles proved to be a fiercely contested affair, with both sides battling relentlessly but unable to find a breakthrough during regulation time. Chances were few and far between as the two teams remained deadlocked after 90 minutes of intense action.

Just when the match appeared destined for a goalless draw, Canada’s captain, Stephen Eustaquio, produced a moment of brilliance in the very first minute of stoppage time.
