The Imole Campaign Council (TICC) will on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, formally launch the re-election campaign of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, signaling the start of a renewed push to consolidate the achievements of his administration and advance a vision of sustained growth and development across the state.

The campaign flag-off, scheduled to hold at the Freedom Park in Osogbo from 10:00 a.m., is expected to attract political leaders, stakeholders, party members, supporters, and citizens from all parts of Osun State. The gathering will serve as a platform to reaffirm support for Governor Adeleke’s administration and its developmental agenda.

With the campaign themed “Imole Carry On Accordingly,” one of the major highlights of the event will be the formal reception of more than 10,000 new members into the Accord political family. The defectors, drawn from the All Progressives Congress (APC), the African Democratic Congress (ADC), and other political parties, are expected to strengthen the governor’s support base ahead of the governorship election.

Among those joining the Accord are former members of the National and State Assemblies, former commissioners, former Special Advisers, and several influential political figures who previously held key positions within the APC.
A significant number of the defectors are former members of the State Executive Council who served under the administration of former Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola.
Leading the wave of defections is the Chairman of the APC Elders Forum in Boripe Local Government, Alhaji Kareem Afolabi, who is expected to bring more than 1,000 supporters from Osun Central Senatorial District into the Accord fold.
Similarly, former Secretary to the State Government during the administration of Rauf Aregbesola, Alhaji Mashood Adeoti, will lead thousands of members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) into the party.
The event will also witness the formal endorsement of Governor Adeleke’s second-term bid by a broad coalition of workers’ unions, professional bodies, artisan groups, socio-cultural associations, community organizations, and other influential interest groups across the state.
According to the Imole Campaign Council, the endorsements reflect growing confidence in the governor’s leadership, particularly in the areas of infrastructure development, workers’ welfare, economic growth, education, healthcare, and social development.
The council called on members of the media, supporters, stakeholders, and residents of Osun State to be part of the historic occasion, describing it as a defining moment in the journey toward sustaining good governance and ensuring shared prosperity for all citizens.
The campaign launch is expected to set the tone for an intense governorship race while showcasing the growing coalition of political, professional, and community groups rallying behind Governor Adeleke’s bid for a second term in office.
