UNILESA: Salaries Paid Up To Date, New Academic Salary Structure Begins June-Management.

The attention of the University Authorities has been drawn to a misleading report currently circulating in some media outlets, alleging poor staff welfare at the University of Ilesa.

Management wishes to state categorically that the report is false, unfounded, and does not reflect the true position of staff welfare in the University.

For the avoidance of doubt, the Osun State Government has paid the salaries and allowances of all categories of staff up to May 2026. No member of staff of the University is owed any salary or emolument.

Furthermore, as part of its sustained commitment to improving staff welfare, the Osun State Government recently approved the implementation of the reviewed salary structure for academic staff of the University of Ilesa. In line with this approval, all academic staff will begin to enjoy the new salary scale with effect from June 2026, and all accrued arrears will be fully paid.

Beyond salaries, the University Management, with the support of the Osun State Government, has continued to prioritise staff development, provision of a conducive working environment, and timely release of funds for statutory entitlements. The University has also sustained prompt promotion exercises and payment of promotion arrears where applicable.

The University Management therefore reassures all staff, students, parents, and the general public of its unwavering commitment to the welfare of its workforce and the continued pursuit of academic excellence. Management further appreciates His Excellency, the Governor of Osun State, for his consistent support and fatherly attention to the needs of the University.

Members of the public are enjoined to disregard the misleading report and rely only on verified information from the University’s official channels.
