Activist and politician, Aisha Yesufu, has hit back at the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, over remarks he allegedly made about her political relevance.

Wike had stated that real politics goes beyond media interviews, while also mocking Yesufu over her reported loss in the “ordinary NDC.”
Reacting in a strongly worded post on her official X handle, Yesufu challenged the former Rivers State governor to mention her name directly if he truly had the courage.

“If dem born Wike well, make e call my name with his full chest! What Tambuwal did him in 2022 will be child’s play,” she wrote.
Responding to Wike’s comments about her senatorial primary, Yesufu also took a swipe at the minister’s political record, claiming he too failed to secure victory during the 2022 presidential primary process.
She alleged that Wike lobbied unsuccessfully to become a running mate before eventually aligning himself with political opponents, a move she said contributed to the crisis within the Peoples Democratic Party.

“Yes, I lost a senatorial primary, but this is someone who could not win primaries in 2022, lobbied for running mate and still was not chosen. He then went to do boi boi for a fellow man like him and ended up helping to destroy a party that was once the largest in Africa,” she stated.
The activist further declared that she would not back down from any political confrontation with the minister.
“Let me wait make the man get liver mention name! Then the man doing boi boi because he has to be in power to have authority will know those of us from Kukuruku empire of Edo State in South South no dey grovel,” she added.
