Osun Sports Vanguard has congratulated the sports-loving Deputy Governor of Osun State, Prince Kola Adewusi, who also serves as Commissioner for Sports, as he marks his birthday.
In a statement signed by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the group, Chief Tunde Popoola, the Deputy Governor was described as a visionary leader who has made significant contributions to sports development in the state.
Popoola described Prince Adewusi as a trailblazer in the sports sector, noting that he has supported Governor Ademola Adeleke’s efforts to revive and reposition sports in Osun State.
“Prince Kola Adewusi has proven time and again that he is a worthy ambassador for the sports sector. Under his watch, the sector has experienced significant growth in terms of performance and improved welfare for athletes and coaches,” Popoola said.
“Osogbo City Stadium will soon wear a completely new look as a result of his visionary leadership and that of his principal, Governor Ademola Adeleke.”
“Under Prince Adewusi as Commissioner for Sports, Osun State has moved from the era of merely making up the numbers at national sporting events to being at the forefront of winning laurels.”
“Thanks to the foresight of the Deputy Governor, the state will soon have its Sports Commission,” Popoola added.
He said the group would continue to pray for the Deputy Governor to enjoy God’s guidance and wisdom as he contributes to the development of sports in the state.
“What more can we wish for as a state than to continue praying that God Almighty guards, guides and orders the steps of our Deputy Governor so that he can do even more for us in the sports sector?
“We therefore wish him a happy birthday and pray that he celebrates many more years in sound health and prosperity,” Popoola concluded.
