The Imole Campaign Council (TICC) on Saturday received a major morale boost as the revered Ooni of Ife, Alayeluwa Oba Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, alongside prominent elders of Ile-Ife, hosted members of the council and offered prayers for the success of Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke in the forthcoming Osun State Governorship Election slated for August 15.
The delegation, led by key figures of the Imole Campaign Council, paid a courtesy visit to the House of Odùduwà in Ile-Ife, where they were warmly received by the foremost traditional ruler and respected community leaders.
During the visit, the Ooni and the elders commended Governor Adeleke’s administration for its developmental strides across Osun State and emphasized the importance of peaceful, issue-based campaigns as the state prepares for another democratic exercise.
Special prayers were offered for Governor Adeleke, seeking divine guidance, wisdom, protection, and success as he continues his campaign for a second term in office.
Speaking after the meeting, members of the campaign council described the royal reception as a significant endorsement of the governor’s people-oriented leadership and a testament to the growing support for the Imole movement across the state.
The visit formed part of the council’s ongoing consultations with critical stakeholders and traditional institutions ahead of the August 15 governorship election, which political observers have described as one of the most anticipated electoral contests in Osun State’s recent history.
The Imole Campaign Council reiterated its commitment to conducting a peaceful and issue-driven campaign while mobilizing support for Governor Adeleke’s re-election bid across all local government areas of the state.
The visit concluded with royal blessings from the Ooni and the elders of Ile-Ife, who prayed for peace, progress, and a successful electoral process in Osun State.
